Southern Trace Farms is a private equestrian estate located  20 miles from Nashville in Franklin Tennessee.

The property is located on Old Natchez Trace which is the oldest working road in the United States, dating back before Christopher Columbus.  Down the road, you’ll find Old Town, a Native American village that dates as far back as the 9th century.

The land was once part of the 12,000 acre Montpier Farms Estate.  Also known as the Nicholas Perkins House, the property dates back to the 1800s.   Across the back of the property is an original historical stone wall from that time.

In the late 90’s, the home was owned by a successful country music artist.  It was said that the artist moved to Southern Trace to get away from the stress and heartaches of the business.  Her love for horses inspired the addition of the Big Red Barn to the property.

Southern Trace Farms had been vacant for almost two years when the present owners acquired it in 2013.
